Hey Urvashi! - Have you watched Mississippi Masala?

It is an old movie released in early 90s but is worth a watch.

I saw it as a child as was mesmerized by the soft portrayal of characters, and I became a fan of Mira Nair's work ever since!

Mira Nair did an amazing job in her casting and storyline with Denzel Washington and Sarita Chaudhury. Do watch it

Love to y'all

Hi Urvashi! - I really liked English Vinglish

I really liked the relationship portrated between two sisters in that movie. One of the sisters made her life in New York after losing her husband and her sister comes to visit her from India for her daughter's wedding.

You can find this movie on Amazon Prime. Enjoy watching!

I highly recommend the movie "The Namesake"

Namesake is superb story about an immigrant's perspective and experiences in America and struggles to find a place in the society. The movie nicely portrays the contrast of traditional Indian values vs modern American values. It is a story of love, family, and togetherness. I would argue though that the movie may not maintain the same emotional attacthment as the book (people have rated the book as better than the movie). This film will be loved for a long time to come. Class act by Tabu!
